As I was getting her ready for bed, she decided to put my hat on and grab her stroller cover and try to cover her rocking chair. Trying to pretend to be me??? She was so serious about it! (See the video on the right.)
Reading her new Valentine book from cousin Linda. She LOVES books!!!!
She feeds herself cereal now. Actually she takes my cereal and bowl and spoon and pushes hers to the side and eats it all!!
In the past week, Matt and I can't believe how she is growing up!
-She says pretty much anything we ask her to now.
-Is reading and remembering what comes next in all her books. She finishes the sentences in a couple of her favorites. Like "The cow says.....MOOOOOO. The sheep says....BAAAAAA. 3 singing pigs say...LA LA LA!!" And, "Red Hat, Green Hat, Blue Hat ...OOPS!"
-She knows all kinds of sign language (see below) and the hand gestures to her Music Together songs. (Open and Shut Them, Me Me Me Me Me, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, etc. )
-Wants to walk EVERYWHERE and walked all the way home from {brook-vin} (Gillian and Aaron's new wine bar) on 12th st and 7th ave!!!! At a fast clip! Probably like 1/2 a mile!!!
-Loves to help us clean up and do laundry and run the dishwasher.
-In our Spanish Music class we sing "A Guardar" meaning to "clean up" and she knows exactly what to do and goes around and grabs toys and helps the teacher put them away.
-She now puts all of the correct colors/shapes in the correct color/hole in her car toy.
She is having lots of tantrums that we just have to let her go through. We are both really working on our patience skills, ;))) but it's so fun seeing her develop! Sad to see her sad, but it's all part of the package. :)))
