15.5 months old (It's Been SO LONG!)
Ok, so I know I have totally been slacking on the blog for months now. With every free second I can get these days, I am trying to catch up on work or on some Zzzzs from working late nights. There have been so many amazing things that she has been doing these days, I had to document some of them.
Here are some of the new things that have been going on with our almost 16 month old...
1. She is DEFINITELY running now!
2. Loves helping with the laundry, loading the dishwasher, turning on and off the DVD player, and TV. Loves our i-phones (ok we let her play with them a little) and remote controls (she always turns the channel right at the good parts).
3. Likes to stand on things now...the bed, couch, ottoman, her little piano, her rocking chair!! So dangerous!
4. Loves to run and dart off wherever we are. She almost ran right out of the library doors past security and into the 30 degree weather yesterday as i was standing right there!
5. Has been performing her own stunts...Fell all the way down Gillian's stairs (unscathed) and had a small table and monitor fall on her at the Children's Museum! (Very dramatic, but not a scratch!)
6. Pointed to Matt's "ears, head, nose, and eyes" on cue today!
7. Knows how to hug, kiss and blow a kiss and say "bye-bye!"
8. Learned how to "Clean up, Clean up, Put it all Away!" at our music classes this week. She used to just stand there and stare when the teachers asked for the kids to help clean up and put away the toys, instruments, scarves. This week she actually helped put everything in it's bins/baskets when the teachers asked. Yay!
9. Still LOVES her books and (as we speak) is sitting in her rocking chair and reading to herself and pointing to things in her COLORS book.
10. BIG news, her formerly known as "mouth of 12 teeth" (since-what 11 months old?) is slowly turning into a "mouth of 16 teeth"! 2 new ones on top and 2 on bottom!!! Steak sandwich anyone?
11. Loves to feed me and fed me my cereal all morning.
12. LOVES blueberries, blackberries, grapes, broccoli, pizza, linguine and clams, lasagna, and anything Natasha cooks for her.
13. Says "Bye-Bye", "App-po" (Apple), "Baaa" (Ball) "Blaaa" (blackberry or blueberry), "Daa" (Dad), "Momma or AMMA" (only when she is fussing), "Keeya" Keira, "BA BA" (bottle), "Gi-Gi-a" (Lillia).
14. Knows and uses sIgn language for MORE, EAT, CEREAL, DIAPER, MILK, ALL DONE.
15. Understands pretty much every thing we say to her.
16. Can kick and sort of throw a "Baaa" (Ball).
17. Still loves to go to MOMA and The New Museum and walk around and see art.
She is so fun and funny and full of energy lately and we are loving it. She kind of started to have tantrums a bit and can be highly emotional at times. She hates her diaper changed, loves the bath, and loves going outside to do anything. She is telling us what she likes and dislikes daily and although it can be frustrating for us all sometimes, we are all figuring it out together. She is our beautiful, developing little girl, that amazes us and makes us smile all day long!
