MORE Teeth & Still Standing & Da-ee & Mo' Flavor
Ok, so she has waaaaay more teeth than any of the kids her age, by far! She had 8 (4 on top, 4 on the bottom) then in the last few weeks 2 molars showed up downstairs. #9 & #10 are 2 big white nuggets!! And now I am seeing 2 more on the bottom and 2 more on the top coming in through her gums. They are all molars that look so painful. She has been a little more clingy & a little whiny, but has been pretty good about it in general.
The other thing she does all of the time now, is stand without holding on to anything, for like 5-10 seconds! Then she looks really proud of herself and starts clapping. She can also get to a standing position from a seated position without pulling up on anything. Still no steps. She just gently lowers herself back down to her butt and crawls away fast, like a cockroach!! She doesn't really want to hold our hands and walk. I think she still likes to be independent.
She also has been asking for Dad when he is not around. She has a lot of words for him that she says all together that kind of sound like this...
da-ee...da...a-da...dai-ya...aya...ay-yi
Oh, and food has been a bit of an issue. (And the naps are a total mess, but I can't talk about those anymore.) She is refusing all of her stand by foods from me, including oatmeal, all fruit and most all veggies, any forms of them. I am trying to figure out what she wants. This is what I have concluded after realizing the food she has eaten in the past week...a cinnamon/raisin bagel, falafel sandwich, an egg/ham/cheese crepe, a black bean and spinach quesadilla I made her, brown rice & steamed broccoli from the Chinese place and tonight a WHOLE slice of pizza. A regular, huge, NY style slice! She ate the whole piece that Matt cut up for her while she paged through a SELF magazine and kept going back to the perfume ad page with the guy who plays Sawyer from LOST! It was hilarious!! Anyway, my theory is that she only wants to eat the food that we eat and are eating. And we can't just take a bites of her food. I tried that. She knows it's food we made just for her and it isn't as delicious as the food we eat. Maybe because she wants more flavor? So the whole super healthy and organic thing is kind of shot for now. I kind of lost control of that. (Sounds like another picky eater in the family.) It is so fun watching her eat food she likes, though. She totally feeds herself now and I have a little kids clean bean sprout canteen that she drinks from. She is totally growing up!
